## The user interface ![Numa Player first run](first.png) At Numa Player startup, the window includes: - ***Current Program*** : press to open the *Programs Library*. - ***Navigation bar*** : move between the app views. - ***Settings*** : configure general app settings. - ***Zones*** : view and edit the Zones. In the *Master* section, the panel shows the Master effects instead. - ***Instrument window*** : Includes available controls for the selected Zone. - ***Virtual Keyboard*** : Quickly try a sound even without an external keyboard. You can hide the keyboard in Settings. ## Audio and MIDI setup To start playing with an external MIDI keyboard: 1. Press the main menu button and then ***Audio/MIDI***. 2. Press ***Output Device*** to choose an Audio Output Device. 3. Press ***Midi Inputs*** to choose one or more external MIDI controller. ![Audio/MIDI settings](audio-midi.png) ### The Audio/MIDI settings are blank In some cases the settings may not be available due to an incorrect configuration. To restore settings, follow the procedure based on your operating system.
1. Close Numa Player. 2. Open the **Finder** from the Dock. 3. Navigate through `C:\users\\library\application support` 4. Delete the file `Numa Player.settings`.
1. Close Numa Player. 2. Press the keys `Win` + `R` to open the application **Run**. 3. In the text box enter `%AppData%\Numa Player` and click **Ok**. ![](run.png) 4. Delete the file `Numa Player.settings`.
## Programs setup A Program is a set of settings that includes all parameters of the Zones and the Master effects. ### Zones Each Program can include an infinite number of Zones. - A Zone can be *active* or *muted*. Press to activate or mute a Part. - Use the slider to change the Zone volume. - Press the Instrument name to change the sound of a Zone, by choosing it from one of the available sound libraries. - Press to Add a Zone. - Press to enter in *edit mode*. Then you can remove, duplicate, change color, reorder Zones. ![Parts buttons](mute-unmute.png) ### Views The parameters stored in a Program are divided into four views. Use the Navigation bar to scroll through the views. ***Sound*** Move the *Sound Controls* to customize the Instrument. ***Settings*** Configure the MIDI settings, Keyboard and Velocity Range of a Zone. ***Effects*** Insert and adjust the effects. Press to add or remove the effects for each Zone. ***Master*** Adjust the paramenters that affects all Zones. ## Programs Library Press the current Program button to show the *Programs Library* and choose a different Program. ![Program button](program-button.png) ### Folders Programs can be organized in multiple folders, freely navigable from the Programs Library. Press in the panel header to show the advanced actions. ![Program folder menu](program-folder.png) - ***Restore Factory*** : Factory Programs are protected by modification but you can still restore them if you edit them outside of Numa Player. - ***Locate Folder*** : Show the folders in File Explorer on Windows or Finder on macOS. From there you can freely move or rename Programs and the changes will be automatically reflected in Numa Player. - ***Delete Bank Programs*** : Delete all Programs in the current folder. - ***Initialize Session*** : Create an empty session with no Zones and default settings. ### Create a new Program Press and enter a name to create a new Program with the Zones and settings in the *User* folder. If you want start with an empty Program, see *Initialize Session* in the previous paragraph. ### Save and edit the Programs In the *Programs Library* press next to a Program name and choose an action: - ***Overwrite*** : Save the changes. - ***Rename*** - ***Share***: Export in a file. - ***Delete*** ![Program actions](program-actions.png) ### Import a Program Press to import a Programs file (*.np2*). ## SL MK2 connection 1. Connect the SL to your device and switch it on. 2. Open the **main menu** and then ***MySL***.
