1. Numa Compact 2/2x/SE/X SE require to set the right sustain pedals polarity in Global settings. Please see the user manual. 2. Numa X Piano and SL Keyboards recognize the right sustain pedals polarity at startup. If you connect a sustain pedal, restart the instrument to set the correct polarity. 3. The VP/25 can only be connected to PED4 input jack (by choosing VP/25 in the PED4 settings of a ZONE). We recommend to use VP/27 or FP/50 instead of VP/25 because they are both compatible with the PED3 input jack. The table above refers to the latest firmware version available on Studiologic website.
## Products of other brands Because of the many existing pedals, it is not possible to make a full list. Compatibility with other brands cannot be assured due to different wiring and hardware standards used. Make sure you have the user manual and technical specifications of the products on hand. ### Switch/Sustain pedals A switch/sustain pedal can be **opened at rest** or **closed at rest**. Your instrument must be compatible with the right mode. - Studiologic VFP1, VFP2, VFP3, PS are available in both modes. - Almost all Studiologic products require *opened at rest* mode by default. If you are not sure about this information, we recommend choosing a pedal with an open/close selector. ### Volume/Expression pedals or Variable Sustain pedals Check the following parameters: 1. **Connector wiring diagram**. If the instrument requires a different connector type, the pedal will not work or may cause unwanted effects. For Studiologic pedals this information is included in the product guide. 2. **Potentiometer resistance value (KOhm)** This value affects the pedal response to pressure. - Studiologic pedals have potentiometers with 0-10 KOhm resistance. - Studiologic instruments require pedals with 0-10 KOhm potentiometer. ### Multiple pedals Multiple pedals (eg. VFP3) work the same way as single pedal. Check the following parameters: - **Type of each pedals** Check the compatibility of each pedal according to its type (see above). - **Connector wiring diagram** Multiple pedals may have one or more connectors. Check the wiring diagram on the manufacturer's documentation. ### MIDI Controllers All Studiologic products are compliant with the standard MIDI protocol, except for *Active Sensing*. If you're using another brand's product, make sure it doesn't require MIDI messages other than the standard protocol. ## Are you still not sure?
